Although it has a relatively high price tag (about $1600), the Panasonic TH-42PZ700U is probably the best 42 inch plasma TV around. The picture it produces deep colors and a sharp picture, and can display full HD 1080p resolution. Furthermore, standard resolution video looks good on the screen too, which is treated to reduce glare (this works pretty well, especially compared to other plasma TVs). The color green is a little yellow, but this doesn't ruin the experience. The only other thing that could be improved is the number of HDMI ports, as most other TVs have 3. But this is compensated for by the wide variety of connection ports, from component through S-Video to VGA for a computer. Throw in a great remote control and an SD memory...
