In the world of super-zoom pocket digital cameras, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 is probably the front-runner. This camera has some significant improvements over its TZ1 and TZ2 predecessors, most importantly a larger display (3 inches), 7 megapixel resolution, a wider lens range (28-280mm) and better battery life. Despite these improvements, the TZ3 is actually smaller and lighter than the TZ1, making it even easier to carry around. The only drawback the size creates is the small control buttons. The video quality is also quite good, although the lack of a zoom option in this mode is disappointing. But altogether, the camera performs well in almost any setting and provides great images, while also being quite easy to use.
