As an Ultra-Portable laptop the D430 utilizes a Low Voltage Processor to obtain extremely high battery life making it very suitable for a businessman or anyone who is often on the move. There are also some other mention worthy features such as an SSD Hard Drive which includes built in Flash Memory to improve both battery life and performance, and just about all imaginable wireless connectivity options including WiFi, Bluetooth and even a built in HSDPA 3G cellular modem for mobile internet connectivity. One thing the D430 does lack is an optical drive, to provide such slim design and low weight there is no built in optical drive and one will have to use either the included external 8x DVD+/-RW drive or opt for a more expensive MediaBase dock which includes an optical drive and further connectivity options. The Design of the D430 is superb and convenient including many features such as an intelligently organized keyboard with a touch-point, auto-adjusted display brightness and more which will significantly improve the work experience.
