Quatech serial PC cards are small, light, and have low power requirements to reduce battery drain. Windows CE drivers enable the card to be used in most popular handheld devices where ports are increasingly scarce. ??The single port SSP-200/300 can be configured as RS-485 by using a 60-ohm resistor, or as RS-422 by connecting a 100-ohm resistor. It is implemented with 16750 UARTs containing 64-byte FIFOs that in conjunction with Quatech's special clock-multiplying feature can provide industry-leading speeds of up to 921.6 kbps. The card can be configured for full-duplex or half-duplex operation.
